INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

The Sokol Run of the Republic in Prague will take place in a LARGE RACE format. This means that time is measured by professional timekeeping. At the finish line, the organizers will award the fastest runners. But every participant will get something to enjoy! What can you look forward to? At the facilities, everyone can pick up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners. A beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.

Runners can look forward to facilities at Tyršův dům (Tyrš House), where the entire accompanying program will take place. Various sports and non-sports activities will be prepared for children. Adult runners will also find something for themselves. The main race route goes through Petřínské sady (Petřín Park), where, in addition to beautiful views of Prague, runners can expect surprises along the route. The children's categories will run a flat route in Kampa Park.

Main Route

➤ Adults 5.6 km

The main race begins with a group walk from Tyrš House to the starting point in Hellichova street. Immediately after the start, runners will be tested by a climb to the Petřínské terasy restaurant. The route then passes under the funicular and enters a series of switchbacks, offering runners beautiful views of Prague. The path continues upward to the picturesque pond with the seal statue, from where runners will head below the Petřín Lookout Tower and on towards the Great Strahov Garden. The return journey will take them past Vojíř's Adit, and after passing the Petřínské terasy restaurant again, only a well-deserved descent to the finish in Hellichova street awaits. The route is suitable for experienced runners as well as amateurs who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the Sokol Run of the Republic and celebrate the founding of the republic with movement.

Children's Routes

➤ 800 m - birth years 2011 - 2014

The start of the race is at Tyrš House. The children run through Kampa Park for one longer loop and back to the finish at Tyrš House. A pacer on a bike will ride in front of the children. The route runs on paved, mostly asphalt paths. ‡

➤ 400 m - birth years 2015 - 2020

The start of the race is at Tyrš House. The children run through Kampa Park for one shorter loop and back to the finish at Tyrš House. A pacer on a bike will ride in front of the children. The route runs on paved, mostly asphalt paths. ‡

➤ 100 m - birth years 2021 and younger

The start is in Kampa Park and the finish is at Tyrš House.

Accompanying Program

A packed program full of fun awaits the competitors and their companions. Children can look forward to a cycling workshop with Olympian Adam Ptáčník, a puppet theater, or the premiere of a song about Sokolík Pepík. A music program by the Municipal Police DixiBand and autograph sessions with sports stars, judoka Lukáš Krpálek and freestyle motocross rider Petr Pilát, are prepared for everyone.

Facilities for Runners

Tyrš House; Újezd 450/40, Malá Strana, Prague 1

Baggage storage, changing rooms, and toilets will be provided at the Tyrš House facilities.

Parking and Transport

Parking is not provided at the race site. If you arrive by car, we recommend parking at the Anděl shopping center and taking the tram to the Tyršův dům stop (4 stops) to reach the race facilities.

From the opposite direction (Malostranská), the nearest stop is Pražské Jezulátko or Újezd.
