INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
General Information
The Sokol Run of the Republic in Jablonec nad Nisou will take place in a RACE format. This means that timing may not be done with official timekeeping equipment. But don't worry, you won't miss out on your final time or the winners' announcement! And what will you get from the organizers? At the facilities, everyone can pick up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners. A beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.
The race route is not closed to traffic. The run takes place in live traffic, which is minimal on the public holiday. Every runner participates in road traffic at their own risk. There are volunteers at the busier crossings.
For all those who want to participate in a shorter circuit (or walk), a symbolic 1 km "Run for the Republic" circuit is prepared.
Main Route
➤ Adults 5 km
The start is in Tyršovy sady (Tyrš's Park) in front of the Sokol Hall. The route goes past the museum, then along Jiráskova street across Farského square to the town hall, along Kubálkova street to Horní náměstí (Upper Square), right behind the church and into Rybářská street to the stone dam, below it through the park to the end, where the run turns back. Along the dam into Opletalova street, then Poštovní and Budovatelů streets back to the park (Tyršovy sady), which is run around once more, followed by the finish. The run goes through the city streets, without traffic restrictions, but also on pavement and in places on unpaved surfaces.
Children's Routes
➤ 1 km - birth years 2011 - 2014
The start is in Tyršovy sady. The route exits the park near the former municipal spa towards the tram siding, along the Nisa river, turns back on U zastávky street, and finishes back in the park. The run is on both asphalt and unpaved surfaces.
➤ 400 m - birth years 2015 - 2019
The route starts in Tyrš's Park. Children will run one lap around the entire park and return to the finish. The run is on paved paths.
➤ 400 m - birth years 2020 and younger
The route starts in Tyrš's Park. Children will run one lap around the entire park and return to the finish. The run is on paved paths.
Accompanying Program
Depending on the weather, badminton, mega-bubble blower, sausage roasting.
Facilities for Runners
In the Sokol Hall, there are men's and women's toilets, refreshments for competitors and the public, and storage for valuables is available with the cafe staff.
Parking
Parking around the Sokol Hall is problematic. There are several paid parking lots, but they are usually full.
