INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
General Information
Sokolský běh republiky in Hlásná Třebaň will take place in the RACE format. This means that time does not have to be measured by a timing system. But don't worry, you won't miss out on your final time or the winner announcement! And what will you get from the organizers? In the event village, everyone picks up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line, a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone.
The running routes include paved and unpaved sections around the Berounka River. The main race will take you into the wider surroundings of Hlásná Třebaň. For those who prefer forest paths, an almost 7-kilometer route is prepared from Karlštejn Castle all the way to Hlásná Třebaň. For the youngest runners, shorter routes and fun activities are prepared, including a bouncy castle and ball games.
Main Routes
➤ Adults 5 km
The start and finish are at Sokol Hlásná Třebaň. The race route combines paved sections with natural surfaces such as grassy areas and beaten paths, which add variety to the terrain. The entire route is flat without significant elevation gains, making it suitable for both experienced runners and those who prefer a more relaxed pace.
➤ Cross-country run 6.9 km
If you feel like taking on a more challenging route, start your cross-country run near Karlštejn Castle, where you will first climb up to the castle and then continue mostly on unpaved terrain, along forest and field paths, all the way to Hlásná Třebaň. The total elevation gain of the route reaches up to 200 meters.
The start is at the square by the linden tree (restaurant U Janů) in Karlštejn and will lead uphill towards Mořinka, before which the route begins to turn back to Hlásná Třebaň, with the finish line at Sokol. You can come directly to the start and the organizers will transport your belongings to the finish location.
Children's Routes
➤ 1 km - birth years 2012 - 2020
The start and finish are at the Sokol hall in Hlásná Třebaň. The route leads through the village mostly on asphalt away from the main road.
➤ 60 m - birth years 2021 and younger
The route will be set out on the Sokol sports field in Hlásná Třebaň. It is just a short section for the youngest ones so they can experience what a race is like
Accompanying Program
Refreshments and a small program for children in the form of a bouncy castle and space for ball games will be provided.
Facilities for Runners
Facilities for runners are prepared in the Sokol hall Hlásná Třebaň. Toilets and changing rooms are inside the Sokol hall.
Parking and Transport
Free parking is possible near the Sokol hall or in the village. Alternatively, you can use train transport to the Zadní Třebaň station. Upon arrival, cross the footbridge over the Berounka River, continue left, and then follow along the main road until you reach the Sokol hall.
