INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
General Information
The Sokol Run of the Republic in Dobříš will take place in a RACE format. This means that timing may not be done with official timekeeping equipment. But don't worry, you won't miss out on your final time or the winners' announcement! And what will you get from the organizers? At the facilities, everyone can pick up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners. A beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.
The race is intended for runners of all ages and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy running in the beautiful surroundings of the English Park in Dobříš. Thanks to the flat terrain, the run is ideal for beginners and advanced runners alike. The children's routes and their distances will be divided according to age categories starting from age 4.
Main Route
➤ Adults 8 km
The main race route starts and ends at the entrance to the English Park and runs on mostly flat terrain. It continues on paved forest paths, with short sections around sports facilities. Runners will circle the park, run along the outer parts of the greenery, and head back to the starting point. The total elevation gain is 26 meters, making the course suitable for various performance levels.
➤ Juniors 4 km - birth years 2008 - 2010
The junior race for older children starts at the entrance to the English Park and follows paved paths through the park. The children will circle the English Park towards the southeast and then return back through the park.
Children's Routes
➤ 1 km - birth years 2011 - 2013
The children's race for older children starts at the entrance to the English Park and follows paved paths through the park. The children will circle the English Park towards the southeast and then return back through the park.
➤ 500 m - birth years 2014 - 2016
The children's race for younger children starts at the entrance to the English Park and follows paved paths through the park. The children will circle the English Park towards the southeast and then return back through the park.
➤ 300 m - birth years 2017 - 2018
The children's race for small children starts on the meadow in the English Park and follows paved paths through the park.
➤ 200 m - birth years 2019 - 2021
The children's race for the youngest children starts on the meadow in the English Park and follows paved paths through the park.
Accompanying Program
There will be an accompanying program for children on site, which is open to everyone, regardless of whether they are participating in the race or not. Children can try: floorball shooting at a goal, athletic disciplines (program subject to change).
Facilities for Runners
Mobile toilets will be available at the race site. Refreshments at the finish line for all competitors. Storage for valuables or backpacks is available with the organizers.
Parking and Transport
Free parking is available in front of the English park.
Transport by bus to the Dobříš square, and then approx. 1 km to the English park.
