INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

The Sokol Run of the Republic in Děčín will take place in a LARGE RACE format. This means that time is measured by professional timekeeping. At the finish line, the organizers will award the fastest runners. And what will you get from the organizers? At the facilities, everyone can pick up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners. A beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.

Celebrate the republic by participating in a unique race for adults and children that combines the beauty of the city and natural scenery. The route crosses iconic bridges over the Elbe river, the castle gardens, and the picturesque Mariánská louka. Adults and older children will complete the full race distance, while younger children will enjoy a 1 km route along the river, through Mariánská louka to the parking lot. The race offers a unique opportunity for runners of all ages to enjoy the beauty of Děčín and the sporting atmosphere.

Main Route

➤ Adults 5 km

The main race route starts at Smetanovo nábřeží and leads through the castle gardens. From there, it runs across Mariánská louka, followed by a section around Kocanda, from where the route crosses the new bridge with a view of the Elbe. Runners then continue along the flat Labské nábřeží. The route concludes by crossing the Tyršův most and returns to Smetanovo nábřeží, where the finish is located. Overall, the route is flat with varied sections.

Children's Routes

➤ 5 km - birth years 2011 - 2014

The children's race follows the same route and is the same length as the main race for adults. Young competitors will complete the same course from the start at Smetanovo nábřeží, through the castle gardens, Mariánská louka, Kocanda, to crossing the new bridge with a view of the Elbe and the flat Labské nábřeží. The race again concludes by crossing the Tyršův most, and the finish is at Smetanovo nábřeží. The children's race thus offers the same challenge and experience as the adult race.

➤ 1 km - birth years 2015 - 2020

The race for younger children will be 1 km long and will also start at Smetanovo nábřeží. From there, the children will run along the river to Mariánská louka and run around it to the parking lot at the Labor Office. Here they will turn around and return the same way.
