INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
General Information
Sokolský běh republiky in České Budějovice will take place in the BIG RACE format. This means that time is measured by a professional timing system. At the finish line, the organizers will award the fastest runners. But every participant will enjoy it! What can you look forward to? In the event village, everyone picks up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line, a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone.
Main Routes
➤ Adults 5 km
Start and finish are at the athletic stadium T. J. Sokol České Budějovice on Sokolský ostrov. From the stadium, runners will run past the swimming pool and over the bridge across the Vltava, across another footbridge to Kaufland, to the Bagr pond in Stromovka, and then to the Vltava River approx. 150 m upstream, further across the footbridge at Luční weir and along the second bank past the winter stadium, then again across the footbridge to the sports hall, and finally across the last footbridge and past the swimming pool back to the athletic stadium. Competitors will run most of the route on asphalt.
Children's Routes
➤ 1 km - birth years 2012 - 2015
Start and finish are at the athletic stadium T. J. Sokol České Budějovice. Children will run around one oval (tartan), then run out of the stadium behind a pace cyclist around a section of it via the parking lot and access road (asphalt), and then return through the side gate to the stadium and finish.
➤ 600 m - birth years 2016 - 2020
Start and finish at the stadium. Children will run out of the stadium and return via the parking lot through the side gate to finish. Surface tartan and asphalt.
➤ 100 m - birth years 2021 and younger
The course will be run at the stadium - tartan surface.
Accompanying Program
We are preparing the accompanying program; it will take place on the warm-up field at the stadium.
Facilities for Runners
Changing rooms and toilets are available at the stadium.
Parking and Transport
Paid parking is available at the parking lot next to the Sokol hall.
