INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

Sokolský běh republiky in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem will take place in the RACE format. This means that time does not have to be measured by a timing system. But don't worry, you won't miss out on your final time or the winner announcement! And what will you get from the organizers? In the event village, everyone picks up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line, a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone.

The race takes place in connection with the opening of the New Sokol Hall in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.

Main Race

➤ Adults 7.3 km

We start at the New Sokol Hall, run down to the river, then along the Fairy Tale Nature Trail Lužánky ascent along the Park of Miniatures to the Eden Entertainment Center, run through its grounds, and follow the cycle path to the Bystřice Airport. We run across its grass field and then descend along a field path to the local area of Domanínek, from where we return along the cycle path via the municipal swimming pool to the finish line at the Sokol Hall.

Children's Race

➤ 1.6 km - birth years 2012 - 2016

We start at the New Sokol Hall, run down to the river, and then along its bank back and forth, first to the left and then to the right (mostly along the cycle path, partly along a grassy footpath) to complete the loop. We return to the finish line at the Sokol Hall via the asphalt road through the swimming pool area.

➤ 570 m - birth years 2017 and younger

We start at the New Sokol Hall, run along Tyršova Street, then along Dr. Veselý Street on the sidewalk, turning off towards the T. G. Masaryk Elementary School, and return through the park in front of the school to the finish line at the Sokol Hall.

Accompanying Program

This race is without an accompanying program.

Facilities for Runners

Building of the newly built Sokol hall with sanitary facilities, changing rooms, and toilets.
Refreshments for all competitors at the finish line.

Parking

Tyršova Street will be closed to motor traffic during the race. Parking is possible in the immediate vicinity of the Sokol hall on Příční Street and near the sports hall (Dr. Veselý Street). Within walking distance of a few hundred meters, parking is available at the Cultural House (Luční Street) and on Masaryk Square.
