INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

Sokolský běh republiky in Brno will take place in the MAJOR RACE format. This means that time is measured with a professional timing system. At the finish line, the organizers will reward the fastest runners. But every participant will enjoy it! What can you look forward to? In the event village, everyone picks up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line, a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone.

The routes lead through Lužánky Park, where the start and finish are the same. Children's races are also measured by an electronic timing system. There will be an accompanying program on site intended for everyone, regardless of whether they participate in the race or not.

Main Route

➤ Adults 4.8 km

The route of the main race is led along the outer ring of paths in Lužánky Park. 3 loops of 1.6 km are run. The total length of the race is approx. 4.8 km. The track has no elevation gain and the path surface is predominantly crushed stone, to a small extent asphalt.

Children's Routes

➤ 1.6 km - birth years 2012 - 2015

The children's race route for older children leads along the outer ring of paths in Lužánky Park for a length of one loop – 1.6 km. The track is flat, with no elevation gain, with a predominantly crushed stone surface, in places asphalt. The start and finish are shared with the main route and are marked on the map.

➤ 600 m - birth years 2016 - 2019

For the category of children up to 10 years old, a loop of 591 meters is prepared. The first part leads across the small square in front of the Leisure Time Center, then the route leads behind this center. The last section is then the same as with the main race. The surface of this route is asphalt in the first part, then crushed stone, and around the small square made of cobblestones. For this children's category, the start is also the finish and is shown on the map.

➤ 130 m - birth years 2020 and younger

The route of the race for the youngest children's category is led on a straight stretch starting from Pionýrská Street. It is a length of 130 meters. The surface of this route is asphalt. For this children's category, the start is not also the finish and is shown on the map. The finish line is a digital timing mat.

Accompanying Program

In the designated area, an accompanying program for children will be located from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM, which is intended for all children regardless of whether they participate in the race or not.

- fencing in a helmet with an epee
- floorball goal shooting
- volleyball/badminton, bumping/throwing the ball over the net

Parking and Transport

Around Lužánky Park there is a blue parking zone B, in which parking is paid only on weekdays. Public holidays and weekends are free of charge and it is not necessary to register the vehicle anywhere.
