INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

Sokolský běh republiky in Březník will take place in the RUN format. This means that final time is not measured and no results list with runner rankings is created. It is truly a run for fun without racing. And what will you get from the organizers? In the event village, everyone picks up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners, and at the finish line, a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone.

We will run through the accessible part of the Údolí Oslavy a Chvojnice Nature Reserve. The race routes lead through the forest along an asphalt road to its end and then back, where behind a forest cabin they turn onto a forest dirt road. The total capacity of the race is limited to 20 participants for the main race and 30 for children. Due to limited capacity, please register online.

The run takes place on the border with the Divoká Oslava National Nature Reserve. The event village is located on the private grounds of Mr. and Mrs. Lysák. We ask visitors to observe basic rules of courtesy and not pollute the surrounding area with litter or bodily fluids. Toilets will be open and available. Course marshals will secure the route during the run. During this time, passage of any vehicles or their exit from the parking area next to the venue will not be allowed.

The ceremony will take place after the last runner finishes. The ceremony time stated in the schedule is indicative only.

Main Routes

➤ Adults 5 km

The route leads from the Lamberk recreational area along an asphalt forest road down to the turnaround point in a steady gentle decline, where runners turn around and on the way back, after approx. 700 m (behind the forest cabin), turn right onto an unpaved forest trail up a gentle slope. Directional signs guide them along forest paths back to the starting point.

➤ Adults 6.2 km

The CHALLENGE route leads after the first 600 m away from the CLASSIC route, taking a detour through the forest along a hiking trail 1,800 m long, before both routes merge again. This is a challenge from the SBR Březník ambassador – Slovak athlete, Olympic representative, and multi-time winner of our Sokol Run, Katarína Pejpková.
!! Please note that the detour leads through demanding terrain and contains an approx. 100m dangerous section – a steep descent that must be walked down. !!

Children's Routes

➤ 1.2 km - birth years 2012 - 2016

Older children start with adult runners at 2:00 PM. From the start, they turn left out of the complex towards the parking area. Past the parking area, across the meadow to the "Bumbálek" water tower. Here the route joins the "Annastrasse" asphalt forest road and continues up a gentle slope to the intersection (rescue point TR 008), where it turns back to the Lamberk complex.

➤ 600 m - birth years 2017 - 2024

The route leads from the Lamberk complex past the parking area, across the meadow to the "Bumbálek" water tower and back along the same path. Start = finish.

Accompanying Program

An accompanying program will be available on site, intended for everyone regardless of whether they participate in the race or not. A photo booth will be available (theme to be specified depending on the weather), treasure hunt: "sweet geocache for smarty-pants", dog therapy for the little ones, rope climbing. (Accompanying program subject to change.)

Facilities for Runners

Changing rooms and toilets will be available.
Traditionally, free refreshments (beer, soft drinks, sausage) and a sweet treat at the end are provided for runners. Others can purchase refreshments. In case of bad weather, grog and tea will be available. A pergola with seating and a campfire is prepared for all participants.

Parking and Transport

Parking is directed to municipal land (meadow) on the right side upon arrival before the recreational area (marked with a directional sign). Do not drive past this directional sign or past the no-entry sign. When parking, keep in mind that you won't be the only ones there, and that children will run in the designated corridor. The corridor will be removed after the children's run, allowing you to exit along this path as well.
