INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

General Information

The Sokol Run of the Republic in Březník will take place in a FUN RUN format. This means that finish times are not measured and no results list with rankings is created. It is truly a run for joy without competing. And what will you get from the organizers? At the facilities, everyone can pick up their starter pack with a bib number and other gifts from the organizers and partners. A beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.

We will run through an accessible part of the Oslava and Chvojnice Valley nature reserve. The race routes lead through the forest on an asphalt road to its end and then back, where after a forest cabin, the route turns onto a forest path. The total race capacity is limited to 20 participants for the main race and 30 for the children's racers. Due to the limited capacity, please register online.

The run takes place on the border of the Divoká Oslava national nature reserve. The facilities are located in the private area of the Lysák family. We ask visitors to observe basic rules of decency and not to pollute the surroundings with trash or bodily fluids. Toilets will be available. The course will be managed by course marshals during the run. During this time, no vehicles will be allowed to pass through or exit the parking area near the facilities.

The award ceremony will take place after the last runner finishes. The ceremony time listed in the schedule is only approximate.

Main Routes

➤ Adults 5 km

The route leads from the Lamberk recreational area along an asphalt forest road to a turnaround point with a continuous gentle descent. Here, the runners turn around and on the way back, after approx. 700 m (behind the forest cabin), they turn right onto an unpaved forest path up a gentle slope. Signs will guide them back to the start location along the forest paths.

➤ Adults 6.2 km

The CHALLENGE route, after the first 600m, diverges from the CLASSIC route for an 1800m detour, after which the two routes merge again. This is a challenge from the SBR Březník ambassador - Slovak athlete, Olympic representative, and our multiple Sokol Run winner, Katarína Pejpková.

Children's Routes

➤ 1.2 km - birth years 2011 - 2015

The route leads from the Lamberk area, behind the parking area, across a meadow to the "Bumbálek" water reservoir. Here it connects to the "Annastrasse" asphalt forest road and continues with a gentle climb to the intersection (rescue point TR 008), where it turns back to the Lamberk area.

➤ 600 m - birth years 2016 - 2023

The route leads from the Lamberk area, behind the parking area, across a meadow to the "Bumbálek" water reservoir and from there back along the same path. Start = finish.

Accompanying Program

An accompanying program will be available on site for all interested parties, regardless of whether they are participating in the race. Attendees can try a slackline, hula hoop, lasso spinning, an obstacle course, or a mini cipher scavenger hunt.

Facilities for Runners

Changing rooms and toilets will be available.
Free refreshments will be provided for runners (beer, soda, sausage for roasting) and a sweet treat at the end. Others can purchase refreshments. In case of bad weather, grog and tea will be available. A pergola with seating and a campfire is prepared for all participants.

Parking and Transport

Parking is directed to a municipal plot (meadow) on the right side upon arrival before the recreational area (marked with a directional sign). Do not enter the no-entry zone. When parking, please remember that you will not be the only one here and that children will be running in the designated corridor. The corridor will be removed after the run, allowing you to exit via this route as well.
